Autumnal Living
This season, one of the hottest interior colour trends draws its influence from nature. A warm and homely colour palette can be created from an autumnal mix of rich reds and oranges teamed with golden browns.
As the trees change colour before our eyes, emphasis is put upon our homes to provide sanctuary from the colder weather. The autumnal colour palette is perfect inspiration for a sumptuously warm living room scheme.
There is a wealth of patterned and exciting wallpapers available in the shops. Dramatic designs may be overpowering for the whole room, but can create a stylish feature wall. Try an organic design to team beautifully with a rich real wood floor.
Without a complete makeover, there are little design touches which will help to warm up your living room. Vibrant scatter cushions and throws will give your furniture a cosy edge as well as your room a jolly accent colour whilst a tactile Floors-2-Go Rug will add layering and luxury to your beautiful wooden floor.
With the nights drawing in, lighting plays an important role to cheer up your space. Steer clear of high wattage bulbs which throw out too much stark light. Instead try coordinating feature lamps to create pools of soft glow light to delicately highlight the natural grain of your exquisite wooden floor.

Blue Hues
If autumnal colours are not for you, in total contrast another current colour trend is “Blue Hue”. You have to be careful with blue as the wrong tone can create a cold looking atmosphere, but the warm jewel tone accessories which are available in the shops at the moment are sure to have your home fit for a king

Monochrome
Monochrome is a more dramatic look, not for the feint hearted! There’s some fabulous black furniture about, which is worlds apart from the black ash of the 1980s! Particularly stunning is damask wallpaper in black and white, or if floral is not your thing try accessorising with intricate black and white stripe details.

Metallic
It’s appropriate as the Christmas season approaches that the use of “Metallics” in our interiors is growing ever more popular. By metallic it is not just gold and silver that we have to play with. The shops are full of a whole host of interior styling items including bronze, copper and platinum. These will add glamour and luxury to your rooms and there is something to suit every scheme.
